The Philadelphia Colonial Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution places thirteen-star flags each May on more than 60 patriot graves at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Though established in 1838, the cemetery honors Revolutionary War veterans transferred there over time, including political and military leaders, battle heroes, militia members, and ordinary soldiers who served the cause of freedom.
